Marblehead Real Estate

Marblehead is in Essex County in eastern Massachusetts, southwest of Salem and 18 miles northeast of Boston. The prominence of Marblehead real estate on the Atlantic coast between Boston and Gloucester belies its understated charm; no major highways run too closely, and there are numerous parks in the area, some of which are large enough even for camping.

The "Birthplace of the American Navy" has settled down in the last few hundred years, becoming home to pleasure boaters instead. Overall, this former center of farming and shoe manufacture has evolved into a prestigious residential community visited by vacationers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are a number of green spaces amongst Marblehead real estate, including the Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, a mecca for birders.
