Brockton Real Estate
Brockton MA, also known as the 'City of Champions', is the largest residential city in Plymouth County. It has earned its nickname over the years by being home to
several boxing champions such as Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Haggler. The city's deep history is rooted in the early Pilgrim settlers who built the town to
become a vibrant economic giant in the textile and shoe industries. The Brockton real estate area is the only city in Plymouth County that borders both Boston and
Providence, providing quick access to major metropolitan centers.
Several school districts serve the Brockton real estate area. The city is home to fifteen elementary schools, four junior high schools, and one of the largest
senior high schools in the nation. Brockton High School has a student population of over 4200 and serves the entire district by itself. Sports activities still
dominate the region, with boxing maintaining its popularity alongside the city's professional baseball team, the Brockton Rox. Brockton is indeed the City of Champions,
and a classic New England town.
